Our story
Born from the reality of building in Kenya
Jengabiz was created to bridge the gap between ambition and execution. We understand the challenges
of building a startup in Kenya – from access to capital to digital skills and market trust.
Why Jengabiz exists
Too many promising Kenyan founders never get the chance to fully test or grow their ideas. They hit
friction early – unclear business models, limited capital, and a lack of mentors who understand the
local context.
Jengabiz was started to change that. Our goal is simple: make it easier and more affordable for Kenyan
founders to validate, launch, and scale tech-enabled businesses that can survive in the real market.
We combine structured incubation programs with hands-on digital support – from branding and websites
to investor-ready documentation – so that founders can focus on building products and serving customers.
Mission & vision
What drives Jengabiz
Our work is guided by a clear mission and a long-term vision for Kenyan entrepreneurship.
Mission
To make startup building more accessible, practical, and sustainable for Kenyan founders.
We do this by combining mentorship, digital infrastructure, and capital readiness into clear programs
that help founders progress step-by-step – regardless of their background or starting point.
Lower the cost and complexity of launching a startup.
Equip founders with skills and systems that last beyond any program.
Help startups grow in ways that are profitable and context-aware.
Vision
An ecosystem where Kenyan founders can build globally competitive companies from home.
We envision a future where Kenyan startups are not only solving local challenges, but also setting
standards regionally and globally – with Jengabiz as a trusted partner along the way.
More successful exits, jobs, and role models in Kenya.
Stronger bridges between founders, investors, and established businesses.
An ecosystem where collaboration is the default, not the exception.

How we work
Our approach & core values
Our approach is shaped by the realities of building in Kenya and the belief that founders need more than
one-off events to succeed.
🧱
Practical over theoretical
We prioritize hands-on sessions, real case studies, and tools you can use immediately – not just
presentations and buzzwords.
🌍
Context-aware support
Advice and frameworks are adapted for Kenya – taking into account local infrastructure, regulation,
culture, and purchasing power.
🤗
Founder-first culture
We treat founders with respect. That means transparent communication, fair pricing, and clear expectations.
🤝
Collaboration, not competition
We connect founders, partners, and sponsors in ways that create shared value, not just one-off transactions.
Building an ecosystem, one founder at a time
Jengabiz is still growing, but our commitment is clear: we want to be the place where Kenyan founders
feel seen, supported, and equipped to build long-term businesses.
